Dream feeding

Does anyone do dream feeding? Friends of mine have told me to do it with my daughter to get her to sleep longer. However my baby doesn't seem to take more milk than she wants. I can't get her to take a bottle when she's half asleep, she sticks her tongue out so I can't get the bottle in and spits the milk back out. Is there a technique to doing and is it something I should be doing or can I just leave her to sleep?

We did dream feeding . This was the only way that I was going to get sleep and be functional in the morning because son would wake up multiple times a night to feed on demand. He was EBF and co sleeping so he could latch at any time. But in your case, if baby sleeps through the night. Let them. That is a blessing. Babies instinctually know how much milk they need. If they are feeding well during the day, that is what matters. Sticking their little tongue out and pushing the bottle away is their way of saying “ I’ve had enough”. At the end of the day, find a groove and do what’s best for you and your baby and always check in with the pediatrician 🙂.
