Hormone drip induction advice

I’ve seen all the horrible stories online, like how it’s more painful, a longer labour and can lead to complications/ caesarean. I’m looking for positive stories now please! I really need them. I have been told I will definitely be getting induced early by the hormone drip. I’m looking for advice on how to make it a positive and easier experience, I have found the basic ones like staying hydrated and active. But I want more tips and advice is possible :)

Ask for remifentanal when the contractions become too much it was a game changer! However don’t let them let it run out it a faff to get it changed over and you go from no pain to all the pain

I was induced, they don’t start the hormone drip until the pessary has been in for 24 hours. They’ll then check you to see if you’ve started labour naturally (which I did) so I didn’t need the drip. Advice: hypnobirthing helped me massively with mindset and I genuinely believe it helped me have an all natural induction that was v quick

I was also given the pessary it hurt like hell and I kept asking them to check me after about 3 hours and they didn’t because they said it wouldn’t have done anything that quickly after 4 I was begging them to check and they finally listened I was 4cm and they removed it

Mine was fine I had gas and air and diamorphine, delivered 9lb baby naturally with no tearing

For my induction it was fast!!! My baby came so quickly the nurse and doctor were shocked. I got this little strip to help soften my cervix on the night of December 6, 2023. They sent me home and I had pains all night. I got checked the following night and was 4 cm dilated so they admitted me and I got put on the drip and my baby was born that night December 8, 2023 at 11:06 pm.

I opted for an epidural before the drip was connected. Very pleased I did.

I was induced via hormone drip 6 weeks ago. I had a quick Labour 7 hours and baby boy arrived. I wouldn’t worry. Just stay positive. I meditated before they induced me and I did hypnobirthing which really helped! Best of luck. Hope all goes well for you

I had the pessary first I had to have it taken out after 15hrs as it become so uncomfortable was horrible! They do normally leave it in for 24hrs tho. I was then put on the drip first it was ok but then they ramp it up every half hour & my god back to back contractions was horrendous. I didn’t have any pain relief other then gas & air which is useless so my advice is get the epidural
