Baby explores everything in mouth

Does anybody else’s baby use their mouth to explore things more than their hands? Mine is 10 months old soon and I’m wondering if it’s common at this age, it’s so cute to see him exploring this way but worrying at the same time of him choking (even though I keep the place clean, keep choking hazards away, hoover regularly etc to prevent that) I’ve been trying to encourage him to explore using his hands too but most of the time he tends to just feel everything new with his mouth😂

Very normal, my son is 16 months and still does this

Yep! completely normal 😊

It is very normal, my son is 16 months and still does it sometimes but he used to do it way more at that age. I guess they outgrow it eventually

My 15 month old & my nearly 5 year old still does this. Totally normal.

Thankyou everyone for clarifying, I know it’s totally normal but just didn’t know if at his age it was common n getting an idea of when they do it less😊

26 months and still trying to get her to keep things out of her mouth, play dough, glue, glitter 😂lethal

@Charlotte oh wow🤣🤣

We’re at twelve months and he’s still doing it.
