Dummy

I know not everyone agrees with dummy use but that’s not what this is about! My little lady is 3 weeks old and she does take a dummy (we tried a few brands) we introduced as she was using breastfeeding for comfort and as soon as she was laid down she’d wake for the boob but not actually feed. She will take the dummy and almost hold my hand in place to keep it in, turn her head towards it etc and cry if I take it away but she doesn’t seem to be able to keep it in without spitting it out? Then she gets frustrated. Is this a normal learning curve or should I keep trying different brands

I did had the same issue with my 3 weeks old baby. Looks like bigger dummies are better for them. He doesn’t spit it out that much as the little ones. X

We had the same issue and I was lucky to have the Hevea dummy and he liked it. It is bigger than bibs so it was easier for him to keep it in his mouth 😊

My breast fed baby just doesn’t really like a dummy, he has a few ducks and then gets annoyed and spits it out! Tried soo many different brands! Bibs is his favourite so far.

they look a bit weird and bulky but the tommee tippee closer to nature breast-like soothers are really good! i use these and the regular tommee tippee soothers and find my little one takes better to the bigger one and it looks more comfortable

Our baby only likes the cherry teat ones. They are rounder at the end so won’t slip out unless she spouts it out herself or falls asleep and opens her mouth
