First holiday with baby

We had a great time on holiday at that age. Don’t worry! He loved being somewhere different and was super content and fun. My tips… Aim for a sleep/nap on the plane if it’s the right time. Bring a little thing of travel wash so you can wash little clothes out in your hotel and won’t run out if you have any incidents Pack light for the cabin as everything will end up on the floor and it’s hard to carry baby and stuff down the aisle! Tell your hotel in advance and they might give you some extra things to help (we had a changing mat and baby bath in our room) Bring something quiet to amuse yourself with if you end up stuck in a dark hotel room after baby has gone to bed…

You can take baby food, water, formula etc through security! This was my biggest worry, they just test it so take as much as you need for the travel. Ask to take your pushchair to the gate if it’s not an overhead pushchair - saves you carrying baby and waiting around for ages if there are any delays etc… Take spare clothes for you and baby for the day, in case of any accidents. A portable fan which clips into the pushchair! They are lifesavers if baby naps when you’re out and about. Enjoy yourself! It’s such a lovely age to go away with, you’ll have the best time😊

See if you can get a cheap stroller off FB marketplace as they just get launched about so you don't want to take a decent one. Don't forget bibs!! This is the one thing I forgot about and they were impossible to find in Turkey. If you've got a baby carrier it's way easier in the airport as you have your hands completely free.

we went on holiday, my little one was 7 months old, the baby carrier was great for the airport. deffo recommend trying to time baby’s nap/ feed for take off and landing. pack plenty of bibs! A good stroller is essential
