Following, we are on the fence as well.
Same here on the fence. My husband wants to sleep train her but I’m not so sure yet. We might give a very gentle version of sleep train a try even when she’s in our room
My 7 month old is still in our room, thankfully we have enough space for a full crib. I'm not planning on moving him any time soon since we don't have a spare room and I don't trust my 3 1/2 year old by herself with him if they shared a room 😬😅 We kept my daughter in our room until she was 3 years old. Will probably do the same with our son. He's breastfed and still wakes up occasionally still so that's a factor too. I wouldn't want to have to trek across the house for a late night feed or binki replacement.
@Winnie my husband too! I feel like the baby is waking bc he’s so close to me and knows I’ll pull him into the bed to shut him up 😂
@Sarah yes I BF too! I was hoping this would encourage to drop the night feeds since maybe he wouldn’t have me so close.. he’s been waking like every hour the past week and it’s pushed me over the edge 😂
I’m ripping the bandaid and giving it a try for tonight to see how it goes! I’ll let you guys know what happens in the am 🫠
Go for it!!! It's so much better once they get use to it. My LO loves his room. We transitioned him around 1 month because he hated his bassinet. I would sleep in the nursery
@Kidy once we transitioned her to her room I was able to wean her off the night feedings as well!
We just moved our son into his own room two weeks ago. I was worried it would mean less sleep and getting up a lot in the night but I have to say the transition went way smoother than expected!! My husband and I were joking that we were offended bc he wasn’t even phased 😜
In the same boat!! But we’re also hitting a major regression and not getting sleep so trying to figure it out
We transitioned really early on, probably about 3 months because she hated the bassinet and loved her crib but we slept in the room next door which has a pass through closet with the doors open until around Christmas. Now she’s in her crib and we are in our bedroom and I feel I’m sleeping better for sure
