I do milk first thing 250ml and my son still eats breakfast and my son also has another milk before bed 250ml. I know the health visitor said to us if he doesn’t eat breakfast do that first rather than the milk but sounds like you don’t have any issues with eating breakfast either.
We tend to either do breakfast immediately or if a nursery day then give her a banana straight away then she has breakfast there x
I’m going to start not giving him his bottle in the morning because on childminder days, in the car journey he ends up throwing it all - think it’s down to travel sickness so don’t want to fill him up too much
We do give our LO milk shortly after she wakes, but she's recently started taking smaller amounts or sips here and there, rather than a whole 6oz - following her lead! 😊
Bottle within 15 mins of waking. Circa 150ml
We are working towards full cows milk but just now he gets 4oz formula mixed with 4oz cows milk. He gets 1 bottle in the morning, one before bed and one when he has his usual wake up at about 10pm. He gets his breakfast 1-2 hours after his bottle. Depends when he wakes up and when his baby class or planned activity is that day.
I do breakfast immediately, its a bit annoying that you cant just relax lol but just one of those things 😂 I tend to premake things like banana pancakes and keep a few in the fridge so I can give her one as soon as she is hungry which gives me time to get the kettle on and do the weetabix etc. Then I do 5oz milk before nap and 5-6oz before bed. But honestly either works, I know a lot of people do milk first as nursery do breakfast. We used to give another 5oz in the afternoon but I’ve swapped this to a larger snack. The actual volumes of milk your little one is having is fine, they say around 350-400ml cows milk per day but even when you swap you wont be massively over that, but if you swap the afternoon one for a snack that would be a great amount, two bottles and then you can work on swapping these to cups of milk instead (I will have to fight this fight as well lol)
