Adding second bathroom while pregnant
Hi! I am currently 5 weeks pregnant through IVF and my husband and I were thinking about adding a second bathroom where our laundry machine is, but now it’s got me thinking on whether this is safe to do while pregnant. Would be through a contractor, but wondering if you guys have done anything similar or any advice! Thanks so much

It should be fine as long ad they take proper protocol. They’re meant to cover the openings with plastic and protect the flooring to minimize the dust and materials from getting all over. It’s would honestly be better to do it before baby because they’re even more susceptible to the dust. Maybe wait to have it done during your second trimester

Would you be doing the work are you saying the work would be going on around you? If its that the work os going on around you, as long as the follow proper work site protocol with the dust I don’t see anything wrong with it personally, but it its you doing some of the work (demo, painting etc.) I personally wouldn’t especially being so early in your pregnancy. This is a time where you need to be hydrating and resting.
