Breast Pumps

Hi ladies, I am looking for a good electric hands free breast pump. Any good recommendations you’re currently using or you’ve bought? I’ve looked at getting the Medela Freestyle hands free breast pump- is it all the hype as it is very expensive?

I've got the Elvie one... my baby isn't born yet so haven't been able to try it out properly, but it came highly recommended and looks all good. It's expensive though (think it retails at £500 if you want the double), but I managed to get it on Vinted for £50. So once you've decided on a pump, it may be worth taking a look on there to save money - just will need to be sanitised which is easy enough 😊

Elvie. I’ve just had my second baby and started using my Elvie again. I forgot how good it is! Hands free, easy to clean, battery life is good. Sits in bra nicely, app works well! I have a “single pump” so I pump on one side and then the other. Or feed baby on one side and pump the other. I think is costed £200 when I got it in 2021 after my first baby.

Elvie stride double I had the previous elvie one but this one is much better x

I've got the Elvie. Had it with my first and now using with my second. It is expensive, I bought the single one with my first new for about £250 but I've got one off vinted for about £50 for a second. It's easy to use, easy to clean, comfortable to wear and I love the fact I can control them from the app as it makes keeping track of sessions easy.

I’ve got pippeta double, it’s basically the same as the Elvie but louder, a lot cheaper though I got it on sale for £120

Thanks so much for the recommendations. I’ll look into Elvie!

I’ve got the momcozy s9 and love it. It’s really simple to use, quite quiet and does a good job for me
