I had this 13 weeks ago with a 5 year old and it wasn’t too bad. Just make sure you do have support around you. I’ve had an emergency c section and elective and the elective was very calm and I felt very in control of what was happening.

I had an emergency with my 1st, then I’ve had 2 electives. Personally the recovery was super easy for me, moving asap afterward def helps (well shuffling!) post being discharged (after 24hrs) I only had the odd paracetamol. My only issue was getting up and down but my husband just helped me x
Am 5 days post section with 3 year old, try remember it’s major surgery and rest as much as you can. I have been trying to be there for bath time (husband puts a chair in bathroom) so can feel part of stuff. If you have childcare or help take advantage as much as you can to have that time to rest
