I did and I can’t imagine bottle feeding - but then I have no practice or experience with bottles. I always have my boobs with me ☺️ My first would feed for what felt like 23 hours a day 🙄 but my second would feed for 5-10 minutes most of the time and be done. So it was a different experience. Second baby was tongue tied but I had a fast let down. Would definitely recommend silver nipple shields/cups as they saved me until we had the tongue tie snipped. I would put jump battles or kids Zumba videos on YouTube on the tv for my first baby so I could still be there watching them, but I could sit and feed nicely. Worth giving it a go however you decide to feed 😊
In the same boat, pregnant with a toddler and planning to breastfeed again but breastfeeding was a full time job first time around he was always on boob but struggling to gain weight, I hope this time is different but if it's not I plan on pumping more and giving bottles so that I have hands free if needed and dad can give bottles etc
I did and it was less stressful that I thought it would be. I thought toddler would be 'why not me' but he wasn't fussed as long as he had something to do. In the early weeks gave, we gave him a box of fun stuff like sticker books to do quietly. Quite often I could feed while reading a story to them both too.
I have my May ‘23 baby and I’ve got a 3 week old. I am currently breast feeding however my partner has 18 weeks paternity leave 🙈 so I have a lot of help at the moment. However we leave my toddler with some toys and keep him in the same room as us so we can keep an eye on him. It is harder but if it’s something you really want to do then you can do it! Xx
I am atm and it’s a bit harder but doable. I’m pumping more and taking bottles on the go.
