Does your 18 month old know the alphabet?
My 18 month old daughter can say the alphabet, and recognise any letter from sight. She has been saying and recognising numbers up to 20 forwards and backwards since about 15 months old. She started correctly identifying body parts before she was 1 years old. We have a bit of neurodiversity in our family, my brother is on the waiting list for a diagnosis and I have traits of it myself but it's harder to recognise for girls so I think I've gone under the radar for the majority of my life. I've heard that pattern recognition can be an indicator, and staff at nursery have described her as "sensory" more than once. Just trying to get an idea if this is typical...
My 18 month old boy literally can only say 2 words, he’s super smart alert and very practical, he was forward in every other milestone except speech I’m now starting to worry I’m hoping he’s just being lazy All babies learn when there ready to, sounds as though you have a lil genius on your hands 👏👏
