@Nicole do you have to sit with her til she falls asleep? My boy was crying and banging at the door, it just breaks my heart
@Rebecca Yeah until she’s fully asleep otherwise she just gets up x
Is there a reason you moved to a bed? It's quite young for him to understand to stay in bed, they don't really have any impulse control at this age. Also they go through a bit of a regression at this age with separation anxiety so probably makes it harder to just leave the room at the moment. Perhaps make sure he's really tired before going to bed, cut his nap down or increase wake time might help
@Nicola we weren't ready to do it ourselves but he was nearly out of his caught one day (climbing over the edge) and I just knew now that he'd figured that out, he'll end up going until he falls out fully. I'll give that a go, thank you❤️
We moved our little one into a floor bed at 12 months and baby proofed the room with a camera that can see everything. He knows now that he can get up and wait behind the door for someone to come in in the mornings and if we don’t he does go off and play with toys
@sophie thank you! Did he learn to do that himself?
@Rebecca Yes he did, it’s only occasionally now that he cries for more than a few minutes for us to come in. He also was taught to hand over the dummy before leaving his room
