Reduced movements

How to quantify if the baby has been moving less? What should be considered as reduced? I am confused and worried at same time

Try to eat something sugary or drink something really cold and see if there’s progress

have a cold drink, something fizzy works best but ice cold water is good too and give it a few mins and see if baby reacts to it. you’ll know your baby better than anyone so if you feel you have reduced movements then it’s best to get checked out

@Dada thankyou will do now

Always get checked out if you are worried x

As Fay says, if you're concerned it is always worth making the trip to your maternity triage. Mine always made me feel welcome and never like I was wasting their time, the only downside is the looooong wait. Your may be different

Yes there is long wait but then do they admit you or how do they make sure movements are fine?

Always go to triage, dont hesitate. If you are past 26 weeks you will have CTG monitoring (in the UK). I have been in 7 times as im anxious, so please don't hesitate x

I rang triage on Sunday for reduced movements. Even though she had moved a little in the morning, Saturday night she wasn't active. So I told them I wasn't satisfied with her usual movements and they told me to go in that day. They will always rather you go in and it be nothing than not go in. When you're there they will listen with the doppler and probably CTG monitoring. That's what they did with me. Depending on what happens after that, they may arrange a scan also x

Thankyou guys for the advices
