Family Nurses
anyone else struggling with their family nurse? she makes me feel so disrespected and unheard. i’ve tried requesting a new one and she’s the only one in my area, when i then said i’d rather just not have one if that’s the case, she made me feel terrible calling me selfish and saying i’m not doing what’s best for my baby, and i just don’t know what to do. i messaged her today saying i’m really poorly and don’t feel up to seeing her in the morning, and she told me she’s going to come anyway?? she doesn’t listen to me at all and it’s really upsetting me

@Jo i’m supposed to finally be getting a new one, and we had an appointment booked for today to do a “transition” but i keep telling her i’m too poorly for it (i keep having vomiting / coughing fits) and she just isn’t listening to me
She’s a pest, imagine how she would be with baby! Defo right to get rid. Not listening to you at all. You shouldn’t even need a reason to change it, you’re entitled to change it if you want

I’m sorry, that sounds quite stressful! I’d also want someone else, by the sounds of it she’s not a very friendly or supportive person ☹️ Can you complain to your GP Surgery or is she part of the maternity team at hospital?
