Brushing Teeth

My baby is almost 9 months old and has about 9-10 teeth what are we using to brush our babies teeth? Right now I’m just using water and a finger brush but is there like a baby toothpaste I’m supposed to be using?

Yes they sell toothpaste for under 2s, it contains fluoride which is important for little teeth, so definitely get some :)

@Cotswoldmama ok great thank you!

Oh wow that’s a lot of teeth my baby is 9 months and only have 2😭

That is a lot for nine months!! Our 17mo only has 12 lol we use Tom’s of Maine with fluoride she likes it

@Naomi sameee

Just use tooth paste without flouride

Safe to swallow

Too much fluoride can cause upset stomach, nausea, and diarrhea

@Naomi mines almost 11 and only has 2 as well 😂😂😂

@Bree not sure about the US but in the UK it’s highly recommended to use toothpaste with fluoride to strengthen teeth and prevent decay 😊 🦷

@Cotswoldmama under 2 her baby is 9 months

Too much flouride could cause this

Not here to argue about toothpaste, she asked for advice, I told her what’s recommended by both NHS and the AAP. She can do with that what she will 👍🏻
