Head banging

Ok so my son is 11 months old now. And the last couple of days he has been hitting his head on the wall a lot. I don’t know if it is sensory seeking or what. But I am constantly having to pull him away from the wall becuase he will crawl up to the wall and bump his head on the wall over and over. It’s not hard. But enough that we hear the thud of him hitting his head. Does anyone have insight on this or have a little one doing the same thing?

🙋‍♀️my little one does this. She'll rock back and forth and bang her head on the wall

This is usually normal! My oldest did this for a while and grew out of it after a couple of months. Now my youngest is going through this phase. Even though my oldest grew out of it a while ago, he sees his little sister do it and joins in 😂

Mine did this too, but weirdly ONLY on the bed since my bed is up against the wall. She never did it when she was on the floor playing 🤔so maybe it was boredom/ understimulated ? As soon as I saw her heading towards the wall, I would just quickly redirect her to something safer to do and eventually she stopped lol

Ok thanks. I didn’t know if this was something I needed to worry about.

I’ve read it’s one of the many weird ways baby soothe themselves.
