i gave birth at 9pm and went home at 1pm the next day. probably would’ve been sooner but they wanted to make sure she didn’t inhale any meconium so she was observed through the night/morning. i didn’t have a private room, i was in a ward with 4 beds but there was only me and one other lady in there, and both of our partners were able to stay x
Private rooms are usually based on availability although i think my SIL might have paid for a private room in an nhs hospital somehow?? I had a private room for 2 days with my first and was on the ward just overnight with my second (baby was born about 7pm)
I gave birth at 6.30pm and was home by 11.30pm! I was only ever in the delivery suite
I gave birth Wednesday and left on sunday; but I did have a post partum haemorrhage & had a catheter as well
I had preeclampsia and he had jaundice and we stayed for 6 days. We had a private room.
First baby I was home same day (about 12 hours after birth) and second baby I stayed in one night due to high blood pressure x
Baby was born Saturday morning and I was discharged on Sunday evening. I had the postnatal ward to myself when I was admitted there but it was full by the morning!
I had my baby at 7:30am after arriving at 1am and left the same day at 5pm. I had my own room the whole time and both my birth partners stayed with me 😊
I had her at 4.15pm and left at 10.15pm. Stayed in the birthing room the whole time and never went on the ward. Both birthing partners with me throughout.
i had a normal/preg birth and healthy boy and stayed 3 days, private room
Yes private room whole time. Was in labor for two days then After baby born I spent 48 hrs there.
Started in a private room in the MLU from when I arrived at 2am until baby's heart rate dropped at 7am. Moved up to the main labour ward then and gave birth at 3.21pm. Left labour ward to the maternity ward at about 7pm. Moved back to MLU private room (they had space in MLU and I suspect wanted the bed space back in the Maternity ward) at ~4pm the next day and stayed that night too. Started the process of discharge about 10am, but at some point we were forgotten about (the midwife thought we'd been given our notes back but we hadn't) 😂 so we didn't actually leave until 2.30pm. So all in all....just over 2½ days. The first night I had to stay as I lost a fair bit of blood and baby had to go to resus when she came out, the second was optional but baby was struggling with latch so we wanted that extra security of medical staff near if something happened.
I was in for 4 days, 24 hours because I had gestational diabetes so his blood sugars needed checking, then after 24 hours they told me he was too small so we had to stay another 3 to recheck his weight after 72 hours, then my blood pressure went too high!
I was induced I spent two and a half half days an had private room the whole time

I had a private room and spent 2 days in the hospital after I delivered.
5 days😫
3 days! I was in labor for 20 hours at the hospital and then had to stay an extra night cause our baby had jaundice.
I had private room after, and I had to spend 24hrs in the hospital as I had gestational diabetes and had to test babies blood sugars for some time after but it just depends what’s the birth like/ recovery
