Car seat question

How many people are still rear facing their children or plan to continue rear facing as long as possible? No judgement - just curious! I know rear facing is safest so have been looking into car seats but everyone I speak to thinks it’s ridiculous 🙈

So strange you just asked this! I’m currently shopping for an extended RF seat. Thinking of getting two be safe stretch that go up to 7 years old. One for my July baby and I’m due another baby in about a week ☺️ second baby won’t be able to use till 6 months though xx

We stopped at 2 because my son gets really car sick rear facing and he ended up choking on while throwing up so its safer for us to forward face.

@Violet my little one gets car sick facing forwards on certain roads and if she’s in the car shortly after eating but doesn’t rear facing! So another reason we’re considering it. But she’s tall for her age!

My 6 year old FF in a high back booster from 4 partly because she outgrew her seat and partly because the harness was a sensory nightmare for her, we weren’t in cares often but will need to get one now we’ve moved. Hopefully Axon will RF till nearer 6 and the baby too.

And unfortunately my eldest gets travel sick regardless of direction 😫 my brother was too FF

Elodie is still rear facing until she maxes out the seat

ERF here too- my eldest has a joie 360 which is okay still for now, my youngest has a 36kg ERF seat though and I’m tempted to swap them for a bit to put my eldest in it so that he can RF for longer.

Just bought a new erf seat for my July 2021 baby recently! Also had a Joie 360 which she still fits into as she's very skinny, but will swap my almost 1 year old into that soon when she outgrows her baby seat.

No way we can RF in my tiny KA. Totally no room and he's so tall. He's FF since 15 months. Xx

My July baby is in rear facing but the weight limit for rear facing is 18kg. Which brands have higher weight limits than this rear facing? X

@Beard axkid, britax and besafe all sell 36kg rf seats

Maxi is forward facing he hated being rear facing and now talks more in the car cos he can see more!

Still rear facing atm but in Feb will be getting her a high backed booster to forward face as her baby brother will take her seat. I can’t have two big rear facing seats in the car as our teen sits in the middle 😬😂

RF too. We have the cybex and have gone up every level as she’s grown. We love it. For me the thought of anything happening to her little body in an accident makes it enough to continue RF.
