I don't think I'll bother - too much faff putting it on just to walk to the car and take it off again. I've packed a warm knitted cardigan, a hat, and a fleecey blanket x
Not sure why it would be needed. We had a December baby last time and she just had a short sleeve vest and sleep suit on. We tied her in the car seat then tucked two blankets around her to keep her cosy going to and from the car plus in the car. It’s kit safe for them to wear even a jacket in the car seat x
I'm just gonna pack long sleeve vest, sleep suit, jumper and a thick blanket to wrap over their legs on top of the car seat straps. Pram suit is deffo never safe in the car (hint is in the name, only use it in the pram!)
No, just a vest, sleepsuit, hat and blanket for the car. Did the same for my son who was born in October 2023 x
I personally wouldn’t, what you’ve listed sounds perfect Babies often over heat in car seats, you want removable layers & straps won’t be tight enough with a thick pramsuit on x
I can’t see it being needed personally… hospitals are kept quite warm so too warm for inside and better to layer with clothes/blankets (add/remove as needed). It isn’t safe for pramsuits to be worn in a car seat - 1, too warm 2, straps then aren’t usually secure enough as padding gets in the way. And you’d just add a blanket to carry to the car. Guess it depends how far you need to walk and if it’s outside. Some women may not be driving home so that may change decision. If wanting to take for a photo op then can see that being fine but definitely needs to be taken off and wouldn’t bother putting on and then taking off when you get to the car as that will be such a faff.
