Sterilizing pump parts

How do I properly sterilize my pump parts? How often should I do that?

You can use a sterilization machine, top rafk of your dishwasher (it the parts are dishwasher safe) or use sterilization bags (thats what I did) The bags go in the microwave for like 5 minutes with a small bit of water in them. Sterilize the parts at least once a day (I just did it at the end of the day while I was cleaning up my kitchen)

@Stephanie so I only need to do it days I use it correct?

@Brianne Yes, at least one time within 24 hours of use. You should wash them after every use though, even within the same day.

Technically it is supposed to be done every 24hrs (if you’re using it on a daily basis if you’re using once or twice a week just sterilize before use)I pump, bag, and then immediately clean and set to dry for my next pump. I’ll then wash all for a final time and sterilize at night for the next day as I don’t pump during the night. I know some people that have never sterilized except for the first initial batch/buy. 🤷🏻‍♀️ also be careful sterilizing to much as most parts are made of silicone and can shrink.

I would get a machine or boil them. Or the dishwasher. I didn’t like the bags

I it after i used them
