Choking on saliva

Has anyone noticed their little one has more saliva/mucous? I said to my husband this morning he sounded a bit congested last night and then today he had a choking episode (he’s had them before with vomit, he has reflux) but this was different he kept gagging on his saliva and it was bubbling around his mouth

Should also mention he’s 9.5weeks

I'm so glad you've posted this as I was trying to find a way to word it! Our little one is 9 weeks 2 days and he's been so full of saliva for a few days now and has started choking on it! I consulted Dr Google and apparently they start creating saliva from week 9 so I assume they've then got to get used to swallowing and sometimes choke on it

Yes! My little one is 9 weeks and is the same at the minute ! She also has reflux but this has been more than ever x

Same situation here

Same sitch here!!! Along with cough and cold... it's making things super fun 😅 nearly 11 wks!

This makes me feel so much better 😅 they keep us on our toes don’t they 😂😂

It felt like choking went on for an eternity, I had no idea what to do!

Yes is normal my baby is 12 weeks now she started around 9 weeks

You read my mind, my almost 9 week old has had loads of saliva for 2 days and been choking on it, I was wondering if it’s normal. Glad to see it’s common! x

@Alicia but I bet your instinct kicked in right? Always trust yourself. It's a wild ride.... buckle up! You're doing great xx

I also noticed more saliva about 2 weeks ago started so about 9 weeks. Not sure why. He is also more babbling so maybe it's about this?
