How long between feeds?

My little girl (8w) has never managed to go more than two hours between feeds. Unless she's asleep on a walk or in the night she is screaming for a bottle sometimes as early as 1h45 after the start of her last one. The gp recommended smaller bottles to help with her reflux (hasn't helped) and overall less intake, but whether she's in 4oz or 3oz she just wants to eat so so regularly. How long does everyone else's FF babies go between feeds? I've read it should be 3-4 hours but absolutely no chance of that here. I'm finding it difficult right now cos she's got such bad reflux she's being sick for up to an hour after every feed so I only get an hour of a happy chilled baby every before it starts again.

Same here. Formula fed and throughout the day it’s every 2 hours. I feel like all I do is feed him 🙈

@Jen it's relentless isn't it, she does great stretches at night 5 even 6 hours but in the day she's a bloody menace. How many Oz is yours taking?

Mine is breastfed and goes almost every hour n even at night every hour awake!!! U at least get night stretches which is still a dream for me!!! 😢😢

I spoke with a health visitor as my daughter currently 3 months old has been drinking 5oz since month old and would only go 2 hours , they said to offer her a top up feed of 1/2oz between feeds if was still hungry x

@Rhiannon Seaton it's often not even 2 hours today it's been more like an hour and a half between a few of them. We can't really do that cos the GP said she's overfeeding so if we give more we get back to the amount he said was too much?!

@Teri the gp told me the exact same but the health visitor say you go with the baby and If they don’t want it , they will just throw it up , you can’t starve them they say and if they want a top up feed they can x

You can try burping her more throughout the feed and pace feeding x

Did you try pased feeding? You can find videos on You Tube. My baby seemed also unsatisfied with feedings but once we started following this method he is ok. Not asking for more and longer full.

Also maybe try changing formula? My baby was 1 day on Cow and Gate and he was vomiting after every feed which usually doesn't happen. I changed to Kendamil and he was ok. I can also recommend Mamia Aldi formula. I also keep him up for a while after feeding. I hope it'll get better

@Veronica we have done that but maybe we'll try again. Funny about switching formula we were with kendamil and it was horrific coming out of her nose proper projectile now we've swapped to cow and gate it's seeming better!! Funny how they're all so different x

Do you usually keep her upright for about 15-20min😭I know it sounds so long but I used to have to do it with my first she had really bad reflux(she also had CMPA) but reflux still continued even on prescription formula so she used to get burped and stay upright for about 15-20 min 😫

@Samuela yeah its bloody ages 🤣 doesn't make a difference though as soon as she'd put down for a change maybe an hour later she's sick
