Breech 😢

Just been to my 34/35 week midwife appointment to be told baby is breech. They are going to try and move him/her at 36 weeks. In the back of my head I knew something wasn’t right as all the kicks are so low down and nothing high up. My little girl was breech last minute which ended up in an emergency c-sections so looks like I’m going down the same path. Anyone had the midwife’s turn baby successfully through a ECV?

I’m waiting for my 34 week app too to find out if my baby is still transverse. I can’t speak as i’ve never had an ecv or a c section however if this baby doesn’t want to move i’ll definitely be looking into booking a c section rather than an ecv. Heard lots of them turn back after being turned manually and I’m not playing that game again. Definitely check out spinning babies try get baby to move!

I had a successful ECV with my previous birth. It wasn't horrific but wasn't comfortable. During birth unfortunately she still wasn't completely in the correct position, meaning I had a ventouse and episiotomy. I'm currently 32 weeks and baby keeps swapping between breech and transverse. I'm unsure this time whether I'll have the ECV again or opt for c section. You can also have a breech vaginal birth but a lot of hospitals do not like doing them due to experience etc. Happy to chat if you want to message me xx

Try visiting a chiropractor before ECV - they are great and can create space in your pelvis for baby to turn.

My friend had the EVC and it workefor her. Acupuncture and reflexology might help as well. I've heard putting a warm pack near on your bump can help them to move as they like to move their head to warm patches. Bouncing on an exercise ball, walking, sitting up right as much as possible Xx

I might be in the same position, personally I don’t want them to try and manually move though. I’ve had a C-section before and also want to avoid if I can. Sorry I don’t know what it’s called, but I would look into reflexology treatments. My friends baby was breach and the baby moved soon after she had this reflexology treatment. That’s what I’m going to look into if he’s still breach at my next appointment

Im 33 weeks now and baby was breech at 31/32 weeks at my last midwife appt and then still breech at my scan a week later. I tried some of the spinning baby things and went to my midwife appt yesterday and they said baby was head down now. Might just be coincidence but also might not! Worth trying everything you can to get baby to turn. I'm hoping baby stays put now😅🙈

Have you tried this website? https://www.spinningbabies.com/pregnancy-birth/techniques/ I did some of the techniques listed there including the famous inversion. This website was recommended by different midwives in my two last pregnancies
