Mine did this for almost 6 months. So many people said don't put a pullup on at all and he'll either have a messy accident or will just go. I cudnt bring myself to it at first with it going on so long I ended up hiding all the pullups. I also gave prunes to make him go cos he was getting constipated. I think with the urge of needing to go he cudnt wait until bedtime pullups and just ended up going himself when I was occupied in the kitchen. I think having no pressure from me watching and encouraging him helped.
My LG refuses to do a poo in the potty or toilet. We started mid Nov last year and she was doing all poos in the potty or toilet but after 4 weeks she hasn't wanted to poo in the potty or toilet, she'll stand behind the door and poo in her pull up or knickers. She refuses to go to the toilet at nursery so we've had to put a pull up on when she's at nursery.
What about putting a nappy on top of the potty? So hes still sitting on nappy?
Just wanted to offer solidarity in that my little boy also won't poo on a potty or toilet. He will prefer to wait until he's in his bedtime nappy to do a poo instead. We've read books about potty training and why we poo etc. He has also been prescribed a laxative for the times he does find it painful to pass
