Anxiety Meds

So I was just prescribed Zoloft but I never in my life imagined myself taking anxiety medication. I have a lot of intrusive thoughts & I worry for everything constantly. Has anyone managed to get rid of the thoughts without meds? Has anyone taken Zoloft & loved it?/hated it?

I take zoloft, i’m on a very minimal amount (25mg) & it has helped me tremendously. I started taking it in November & have no side effects. I take it an hour or two before bed because it helps me sleep

I took zoloft for a few years and it helped sooo much. Last year I switched to duloxatine but am currently on a mental health journey to find the right med combo. It takes 3-6 weeks for you to feel the difference when taking it. SO don't panic if youre not instantly better. And sometimes, you might need a different medication and that's okay too.

My doctor prescribed me Zoloft as well a few months ago . I decided not to take it because she told me the side effects but she said it was safe other than that she told me if I didn’t want to take it that I could do therapy or yoga.

I’ve been on meds for my anxiety and depression on and off (not while pregnant by personal choice) for about six years. They help keep me healthy and mostly happy. They gave me my life back. There is no shame in getting the help you need. There is so much stigma surrounding mental health. In reality taking care of your brain is just as important as taking care of your physical health, and you don’t hear people giving you shit for going to a regular doctor. Take your meds and even get into talk therapy if you want! It will work wonders!!

i never liked zoloft but i’m on multiple other medications and they do work wonders. you gotta find what works for you. it sucks sometimes cause i do wish i could cope without them, but ive come to the conclusion i cannot lol. i’ve been on them for years now
