Some days my LG doesn't nap until 1, it's ok. A late nap is still a nap. I try not to let nap go past 3pm or go longer than 2 hours at this age.
As for awake activities, coloring, building, an hour of tv time, reading books, bubbles (get a bubble machine), puzzles
@Charlotte a bubble machine…that’s not a bad idea! Are you using it indoors…on hard floors I assume? Or is clean up not really an issue?
@Roshana thank you! 💕
Indoors or outdoors. If indoors, I prefer to keep it over carpet for easier cleanup, but on hard floor isn't too bad for clean up either
I caved into a little screen time today, but definitely felt guilty. I had a big meltdown in the morning from being overwhelmed about everything needing to be done, so I turned on some bluey just for a bit. I got some work done, but the kitchen is definitely still a mess. Also, my kid did the weird late nap/trying to skip nap thing and now he’s back to normal so might just be a phase! During those days I only let him skip once and he went to bed super early, but he stayed in bed for the whole “nap time” as quiet time. He just rolled around the whole time 🤷🏻♀️ Not a ton of advice, but just letting you know you’re doing amazing and this shit is HARD. (Mine is also Dec 2022 too btw). Feel free to inbox me if you want to vent/commiserate/brainstorm 😅
Tbh, I’m not strict about screen time. My baby is finally interested in movies and I definitely take advantage of that lollll. I switched schedules this week and yesterday I was drained. I was able to take a nap while he just sat in bed eating chips and watched a whole movie. Don’t feel bad for your baby watching tv! Especially if he’s smart, learns things quickly, and independent. Things will get better!! You got this🫶🏽
