Mashed potatoes were a relatively safe food for me and I could drink small sips of coke and peppermint tea when water was not staying in. Later the Zero tablets (hydration/ electrolytes) worked well. Toast (dry) worked as well after a while. Xonvea allowed me to eat/ drink a little more.

McDonald’s always worked as my body didn’t seem to acknowledge it as food haha, the frozen coke is also famous in the Aussie HG community for staying down. Flavoured milk (strawberry for me) and milkshakes were good sometimes for some hydration and vitamins and aren’t too unpleasant if they do come back up. Other than that, dry pretzels, potato soup, and easy mac worked for me at various times. And then randomly a craving for Malaysian laksa came and never went and I was weirdly able to keep that down and ordered it every day 🙃 so don’t ignore any random cravings!

Tinned peaches (not the worst when it comes back up) and orange lucozade sport. Mcdonalds coke for some reason its different to other coke

Plain dry bread lol & apple juice

Toasted crumpets and plain pasta with some butter and salt!

Ready salted crisps McDonald's fries Lemonade Lucozade sport Tinned pineapple Slush

Mashed potatoes White bread and butter Really really cheap cheese sandwich. Just bread and cheese no mayo Lots of water with ice (anything else tastes really artificial. Really ice cold apple juice If you can tolerate it. Flapjacks

Lucozade sport Dry crackers Birdseye potatoe waffles

Lucozade original, strawberries didnt hurt when they were back up

Jaffa cakes Weetabix Croissants Mr Kiplings lemon drizzle slices

Bagels & cream cheese or just butter. Carrots. Steamed rice. Pretzel sticks 🥹

Grazing on grapes and dark chocolate for me

I would sip coke, ginger, and flavored seltzer. Ice chips were also my saving grace

It changed throughout the HG journey… Wheetabix with some honey and for a time with lactose free milk. Watermelon. Regular Coca Cola, cold. Orange fizzy lemonade, cold. Tinned peaches. Toast with a very thin layer of butter and jam. Toast with scrambled eggs. Now I am 22 weeks and I’m able to have toast with beans. I no longer tolerate watermelon nor scrambled eggs. I can eat pasta with a plain tomato sauce. Throughout HG and until now, I hate salty food so no crisps for me and no adding salt onto anything for me. It was a big trial and error as to what you can tolerate. For example, one of my friends swore by tinned pineapples - they came right up for me.

Juice Slushie French bread Watermelon Bagel and cream cheese
