Bottles

he’s on 6oz every 3 hours and a 7oz before bed because he sleeps through the night

My baby boy has 6 bottles of 6oz a day x

Always every 3 hours except for at night and then she’ll have anything between 3 & 5 oz . Most of the time she will not drink the full bottle but she always goes the same time between so similar to you .

@Kate do you choose to feed every 3 hours or is she hungry? I’m just trying to work out if potentially I should do that throughout the day? At night my LB I dream feed at 10:30ish and then sometimes he wakes at 2 or sometimes 5 x

She’s usually right on schedule and lets us know that it’s time but it surprises me that it’s never earlier when she’s had not much on the last bottle . I saw the health visitor today and she’s told me to do her a 6oz bottle instead in case she does want more at them times when she drinks it all but she wasn’t too phased at all when I said she’ll only drink 3oz sometimes . I just follow her lead and let her have whatever she feels like and she seems happy enough so maybe just follow his lead too and if he wants to drink a lot that’s great and if he’s not too hungry then that’s fine too . Sometimes at night mine will have 1 bottle and sometimes it’ll be 2 or 3 I just try not to stress it too much and trust her on what she wants .

My LG is 13 weeks and has 30oz of expressed breast milk per day between 6.30/7am and 7.30pm (or after her last wake window but usually around 7.30). Hasn’t woken in the night since beginning of December (extremely lucky!)

@Kate thank you, I was getting worried he wasn’t eating enough but your baby sounds so similar in regards to feeding habits! I follow his queues for feeds, he just fluctuates what he wants!

@Tayla is that just during the day or is that over a 24 hour period?x

That is from when he wakes up to when he goes sleep. He sleeps about 10.5-12 hours a night so works out to nearly 24 hour period x

5oz every 3 hours (doesn’t sleep through night) and won’t drink any more I’ve tried 🤷🏼‍♀️

Mine has 5oz (doesn’t finish the bottle leaves a little left) My son has 5oz bottles at: 2am 9am 1pm 4:30pm 8pm 11pm (not full 5oz, maybe 3-4oz)
