Elective c section but on labour ward
So I’m 36 weeks today however, I have gestational diabetes and baby is apparently already weighing 8 1/2 lbs so they have brought my c section date forward however, because it’s last minute, I have to be on labour ward at pinderfield rather than the usual elective ward. I have to call up at 8am on the day and be given a time. Has anyone else experienced this ? What was the experience like? I’m feeling quite scared x

That happened to me with my first, then I've just had an elective with my 2nd. It's a big operation so it's understandable that you're worried, but genuinely it's absolutely fine, and not really any different to if you'd have been booked in weeks before. Both times I had a very positive experience, the staff are all so lovely.
