U r suppose to make up bottle normally then pour the entire contents into nuby and cool the whole lot at the same time then pour bk into bottle and it's cooled down, however doing it this way does mean u r suppose to clean and sterilise it after every use however because it has only had sterilised milk in it u can just pour hot water in and give it a quick shake and a rinse and use again however also not technical safe. If u really want to be safe then if ur going to be out for a really long time and going to need multiple bottles u can back a bottle brush mini washing up liquid and a small Milton fluid with u and wash whilst ur out and then fill nuby to the top with cold water put a little Milton in it take the plastic ring out and put it in the water in the nuby and place the lid on sterilise on the go if u fill it right to the top it should sterilise the lid the plastic ring and bottle all at the same time. This is what we do, altho I do reuse it sometimes without washing and Sterilising properly if needed
Alternatively u can buy multiple nubys so if ur out for a while u can safely sterilise all milk without all the faff however nubys r expensive as I'm sure ur aware, however people usually sell bundles on vinted for reasonable prices. Sorry ik that was a lot I hope it makes sense and helps, let me no if u have anymore questions x
Haha thanks for your help I know I can ask a cafe or something as well and then make the bottle up bjt then at the same time I would probs need a bowl of cold water or something to cool it down xx
Yh if I'm ever without my nuby I just ask for a bowl with some cold water maybe some ice to if they're nice enough to help cool it down. Alternatively if ur baby feeds regularly and it's predictable u can make up bottle 30 minutes before they r due a bottle it should cool down enough in that time to be drinking temperature by the time they want a bottle and they get 2 hours like u said so gives u plenty of time x
I use a flask with boiling water in it then measure out how much I am making in the bottle pour out most of the water but not all into rapid cool and use hot water to mix in formula, mix cooled water in when ready. It’s handy to take hot water out with you in case you’re not in or near a cafe and while from home. Also can pre measure out your formula in Tommie tippe pots. Could always pre make the bottle and keep it cold will last longer. 😊
I take flask with hot water (boiled), have a small pot with 3 separate spaces for 3 formula powders and a baby bottle. More or less I am aware when it's next feed so I prepare the milk and it cools before baby wakes up. That's how I do when we go out. Before I was using ready formula but prefer the method with hot water as now it's cold and baby can drink nice and warm milk.
I take a flask of freshly boiled water with me and a nuby when I go out. I tested the flask I bought at home first to determine how long the water stays hot enough so I knew how long I had whilst I was out. I bought a thermos from Amazon and it stays hot for like 6+ hours. Also you can keep a bottle of formula out for 4 hours if it’s kept in a cool bag with ice packs.
I boil hot water and pour it into a thermal flask (stainless steel) and let it cool. I then carry a hot flask of boiled water and I do 2:4 ratio. For example 6oz bottle I pour 2 ounces of hot and 4 parts cool. Boiled sterile water is fine for up to 4 days properly stored and refrigerated but I always make a fresh batch before leaving and let it cool.
No u have to get a separate flask the nuby will start cooling ur water down as soon as u put it in. I brought a thermo from argos and keeps it hot for bout 5hrs. I brought a meat thermometer as well that I use in the water to make sure its still above 70⁰C which is still usable. But also when ur out an about u can get boiling anywhere all cafes and pubs will give u hot water for free I do this all the time. Wash and put hot water in ur thermos first time u use it leave for like 15 minutes n then pour out and now it's sterilised then u can just put hot water in it everytime and that water will both stay hot and sterilise the thermos with each use. The hot shot method technically isn't safe or recommend because the oz of hot water u use to sterilise the formula with does cool down to quickly below 70⁰C so it doesn't have enough time to sterilise the formula. Also the ratio of water to formula is also needed to sterilise the the formula so 1oz of water can only sterilise 1 scoop of formula x
