Potty before bed and only sips of water. Start going potty as soon as they wake up.
My son goes potty right before bed but will pee sometimes in his overnight pull up. I have a friend whos son is 4 and a half and still has an overnight diaper. I feel like staying dry all night comes with time but my son is still in an overnight pull up so I wouldn't feel like he is behind or anything.
It’s an age thing. They’ll do it when they’re ready. But you can do things to help it. My daughter is night trained and I cut off any liquids 2 hours before bedtime and the very last thing she does before going to bed is going pee, if she wakes up at night then I make her go as well.
We did day and night the weekend my son turned two, so just about 1.5 years ago. We did this with all of our kids and has found it works well: 1. At dinner, give them their drink in a shot glass (looks and sounds ridiculous) but kids don't really get the idea that things are bigger and smaller (well maybe now yours is older, but at 2 he didn't) and just see the glass is full. 2. Pee before bed and then set an alarm and wake yourself up to pee them in the middle of the night (like 2am). It sucks I know but won't be forever. Our kids never actually woke up when we did this, they were in some semi-asleep state and you just hold them on the toilet. 3. Try to get your child to the potty as soon as they start to wake up, or even try to catch them a few minutes before they wake up. We usually had to do the 2am potty for a week or so, but then could switch to when we were going to bed (~11/11:30pm) and they would make it until morning. At one point they are okay and you can stop this too.
My son just wet the bed after waking up this morning potty training is not for the weak
Following because I'm in same situation
