@Parker yeah mine said she would call at 12 months to check in. She said sheâs âborderline delayedâ just made me worry a bit!
Same for gross motor skills. Literally every other section on the list she can do all of. HV said we can refer to GP if she isnât making any progress by 12 months. Theyâll do it when theyâre ready
May I ask why was they worried? My little one is not the most advanced with her communication either and we have a review appointment creeping ups
@Wiktoria she wasnât really specific and said she wasnât necessarily concerned. My girl doesnât really babble back, doesnât clap/wave if we ask her to those types of things. Whatâs your little one doing?
I wouldn't worry, these questionnaires are good but don't really account for the wide range of normal variations! My girl was flagged up for delayed motor as she's not standing for long or walking yet but she's literally just 11 months so it's all a bit ridiculous, they want to see her in 4 weeks which is fine but not worth worrying about đ they get there in their own time! My son didn't wave or anything until 13/14 months and he's thriving now if that gives you any reassurance x

My little girl is behind on her gross motor skills apparently, health visitor came a few weeks ago. I'm not worried as I'm an ex childcare worker so I know that she will do everything at her own pace. The health visitor told me that she will ring me in September when my daughter is 18 months and check in with me about what she can do by then x
