4W5D spotting

How much should I worry? My first pregnancy. I’m high risk due to bmi and health conditions. Am I miscarrying? Update; went to my EPU as I started bleeding and cramping more. Had an examination and told it was ‘threatened miscarriage’, but my cervix is closed. Keeping a very close eye on it now..

I was terrified when this happened to me about 5 weeks but I’d always say go get things checked if you can to put your mind at ease as everyone is different xx Wishing all the best xx

Spotting like that is normal. Unfortunately if you were to miscarry at this stage, there isn’t anything to stop it. If you start to have significant bleeding more than a heavy period, you would go to the emergency room. But I don’t personally think you are miscarrying. This looks like normal spotting to me.

i had bleeding around 5 weeks, similar to this, i went to the doctors about it and had to wait until i was at least 6 weeks before they were willing to do an ultrasound. turns out i had a hematoma between baby and my uterus, said it wasn’t big enough that it was an issue, but to avoid a lot of things until the issue resolved itself. bleeding completely stopped around 10 weeks and at my 12 week scan it was gone

Thank you. It’s reassuring, but pregnancy anxiety is real!!! X

At this stage it could definitely be normal spotting! To ease your anxiety, you could get a pack of the strip tests (i used easy at home strips) and you could monitor the lines to see if they are getting darker each day, use first morning urine everyday to monitor it best🥰 sending love xxx

I would say this is too red to be classed as ok. I hope everything is ok though x

Your line looks very strong, but keep it an eye on it to see if it’s getting lighter❤️

I would definity get checked out , as that’s not just a tiny bit of spotting and it’s really fresh blood . Hope all is okay 🩷
