Older Sibling Behaviour… 😵‍💫

I’ve got a 7 week old baby and also a 2.5 year old. Since my baby has been born, my toddlers behaviour has just gone awol. She’s nothing short of feral, and I don’t say that lightly. I know having a new baby is a huge adjustment etc and to expect some bad behaviour but she is literally angry, naughty and generally unpleasant 90% of the time now. We have made a HUGE effort to keep structure and routine for her, involve her with the baby, spend 1:1 time with her etc but nothing seems to be helping and I am now truly at my wits end. I feel embarrassed to go anywhere with her because she behaves so badly, I can’t take the stares from people around us when she plays up. She also never used to be like this, prior to the baby being born she was genuinely an absolute angel child who would never put a foot out of line so it really is one extreme to the other. Any on else been through or going through this?! Does it get better?! When?! What more can I do. I feel so gutted at the moment 💔

I have no advice but I'm experiencing the exact same with my 3.5 year old, it's so draining and stressful! She's acting up massively, I'm trying to be patient, firm etc but I won't lie I am losing my patience a lot which then makes me feel bad! I'm really just hoping it'll pass eventually like most other phases...

My little boy is a year and eight months and he’s always been wild but in a good way but I’m going through the same thing where his behaviour has become unbearable at times but he also refuses to go to sleep alone when before he was always happy to settle in his bed at night and during naps. It’s draining, any advice you find will be helpful because I’m feeling the same frustrations xx

Girl, I feel you ♥️ I have a 7 week old and 2.5 year old too and we are in exactly the same boat! He’s throwing things at us and constantly trying to hit his sister on the head/steal her blanket and dummy. I don’t have any advice as such, but just know that we’re exactly there with you 😂✨ x
