Babbling regression while learning to crawl

My son who just turned 8 months on the 24th is so close to crawling, he is scooting, sun dialing and picking him self up on all 4s but hasn’t figured out how to put all of it together yet. Anyways he was complex babbling, but the past 2 ish weeks it’s been more so coing, raspberries, screams, and simple vowel sounds. “Ah” “eh” and “ooh”.. anyone else notice lessening in babbling when your baby is learning a new skill? Need some peace of mind that this is hopefully common.

Yeah when my son started crawling he was babbling less but he's babbling on and on now it's just starting to lessen again so I'm thinking he's trying to start walking 😂

My baby is doing this as well 9 months and try to walk

Same! My boy army crawls and has an entire babbling conversation when he’s eating food or in the middle of the night lol otherwise, he’s been doing raspberries over and over. I’m guessing it’s normal, don’t freak out too much mama.
