Age Appropriate Chores

I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old. Any suggestions on age appropriate chores?

I have the same age children. My three year old makes her bed, brings plates into the kitchen, tidies away toys, feeds the cat treats. The 6-year-old tidies toys, helps her 3yo sister go to the toilet when she's asked by her, yesterday she vacuumed up some mess she'd made, she'll help look for things when they're lost. We don't make them do these things. We ask them and they can choose whether to do them or not. They don't do the tasks for money. Maybe we'll bring pocket money in later but I like the idea of them doing the chores just to be helpful and help the family out rather than for some financial reward.

3 yr old: Clearing the table "Folding" laundry Helping put away their clothing Chores that involve matching and sorting

3 and 6 year old fold laundry too and put some away.

Thanks for the suggestions all

They're expected to clean up their rooms, playrooms, and toys in general. My 6yo is cleaning up her room right now, but I usually have to step in and supervise at some point (gets easily distracted, pretty sure she's ADHD). She wipes down the table after dinner when asked, and helps put away her laundry. Sometimes I give them random tasks like wiping down cabinets (son is 4yo). There hasn't been an allowance component yet, but I'm going to introduce it soon for my 6yo because she has a tablet now and likes to play games with in-app purchases. I think it's helpful for teaching them money management and we'll use the save/spend/share model. We also don't put a big emphasis on tangible gifts for birthdays/Cmas, plus they have fallen bdays so it's all close together, so it would be good for her to save up for extra things she wants. I have a magnetic chore chart w/ lots of little chore magnets I need to get out again and review. We originally got it to help w/ some sleep issues.

My 3 yr old is autistic he cleans his room and puts away his toys. That's actually his only chore cause I have 4 kids. They do the rest of the house chores.
