Mental health

I had a mental breakdown today. My partner has been working and I have been with the kids by my self. I suffer with depression. This morning I thought my feelings were going to control me as I had the urge to run into a running car and just die. I started scratching my ear so bad and crying that he noticed. Took the kids and took me to a quiet space. Bath me and gave me food. I feel a bit better my counselling isn’t until next Friday. My depression won. I need help regulating this

If you are in the UK you can call NHS 111 and choose option 2 where you will speak to a mental health nurse. You can be referred to adult crisis. They are amazing. I work in a similar sector and honestly they are super.

I’m so very sorry you are going through such a hard time. Please know this won’t last forever. Do you have anyone you could call when you’re feeling like that? That’s lovely of your partner to make you feel better like that, you sound really lucky to have each other! 💛 Has your GP prescribed any medication? I know it’s not for everyone but it may help regulate your moods xx

If you have Medicaid. Consider Charliehealth virtual therapy. 3x week for group therapy 3hrs a day and 1 day with your primary therapist. I do it for postpartum and it’s helpful to talk to other moms who relate to me and vice versa.
