I have a 2yr old & nearly 6 year old. Definitely my 2nd child was an easier baby. The birth & breastfeeding was easier too which helped. But now I'm not sure if he is a harder toddler just because he is more of a risk taker and wants to do everything his brother does! Being on maternity leave when my eldest started reception was good timing!

I’m finding things easier the second time round and more natural. I was able to breastfeed this time as well. The only thing I’m finding hard is juggling two. I know this will get easier though! Honestly seeing the love my son has for his baby sister and the laughter she gives whenever she is near him, is the most beautiful thing!

I would say yes definitely easier, as you know what to expect in terms of labour and birth. I had my 2nd last year in July shortly after my first turned 3. 2nd baby has slotted in to our routine fine. bar the beginning, as we had awful news of my dad (kids grandad) health. so my first few months with second baby and after emergency c section where hard, very hectic and I never gave myself enough time for rest in between. but on the whole it’s been amazing with 2 the age gap has been great, eldest helps with getting nappies and wipes to change baby and chooses outfits each day so she doesn’t feel left out, she’s included in things i breast and bottle fed baby, so when baby had a bottle eldest would sit next to me and hold bottle for feeding etc. She does the same now with us at the weaning stage, she likes to give him a little bit of purer food on spoon as well.
