I've never heard of this, but I'm guessing it's just a calorie/fat thing. I would probably try a healthy option that is high in calories/healthy fats.

Sounds gross and not a good habit to introduce. Never heard of this but babies aren't supposed to have more than 1-2 teaspoons a day. But i would ask your Peds doctor. There might be some other reason baby isn't getting sleep.
I do bananas instead. Depending on your babies sleep schedule I’d give them some like 30 minutes before you start their bedtime routine. I do maybe 1/3 and then into small pieces and he sleeps very well. Bananas are full of magnesium a healthier option for me.
