@Stephanie thank you! ive felt like theres been some kind of “motion” or fluttering but i just took it as my stomach was being funny or it was in my head so im glad that its normal or considered to be. When did you first feel your baby have actual kicks?
@Alexis like the big ones? Probably around 30 weeks give or take!
@Stephanie either kind big or small
@Alexis the small ones i felt super early, at like 12 weeks. I thought I was going crazy 😅 But the ones where others could also feel were around 30!
@Stephanie thank u!
i felt my baby kick at 23 weeks to the T. i was getting worried. and even then for weeks after it was such a faint little thump thump from time to time. until about 30 weeks i started to feel rolling and big kicks. but she was never much of a mover tbh i had such anxiety! but shes 9 months old now and the smartest most mobile little girl EVER, she's already walking.
18 weeks with my first and this time I’ve been able to feel them since 15 weeks since I’m more aware of what they feel like but most first timers don’t feel or decipher until 18-22 weeks
@Andrea this makes me feel better about not feeling like i have felt anything yet!! so excited for you and your WALKING baby girl!!
@Madison I’m 18 weeks today so i will see if i start to feel anything between now and the next couple weeks!
It kinda just feels like a flutter or like a gas bubble early on! You might not even notice it! Also depends on the placement of your placenta on how much you are able to feel and how much others can feel from the outside. I had an anterior placenta so my placenta was on the outside side of the baby between my skin and baby so I could feel the baby early on but others couldn’t feel her until wayyyy later! Posterior placentas (placenta between you on the inside and the baby) can make it to where you can’t really feel it as well early on. Hard to explain but if you look up a picture it makes more sense lol
i have my 20 week scan soon so i’m hoping once i find out the position of the placenta i will feel better! thank u!
Yes oh girl you are good! That will help make it make sense and ease your mind once you know! So excited for you! That 20 week scan is just the best 🥹
@Carly i’m so excited for it!! i have it feb 17 so im just counting down the days!!
The first feeling usually happens between 16 and 24 weeks, so 18 weeks is still very normal! Other things that can cause the feeling to take a bit is placenta placement and being overweight. Also, quickening (the first feelings) isn't those big feelings. It's more like really light fluttering. Could be mistaken for gas or even just the imagination 😅
