It’s only for guidance. My boy is 14 weeks and is still only on 5oz each time x
My baby is 11 weeks old and only has a 5oz bottle 5/6 times a say, she normally drinks 4.5, rarely ever does she drink the full amount. I just go off that she has a lot of wet nappies and one dirty every day/every other and is happy😊
As long as they're gaining weight and are having a minimum of 5 heavy wet nappies a day it's all good. There's so many factors that affect how much a baby needs to feed, including birth weight and genetics, you can't really go by age. Also some babies have smaller amounts but more often - my baby has to have smaller amounts more often to manage reflux.
My baby is 14 weeks and still only has 4oz per time!
My little one is still on 4oz a time and is 12 weeks old today! Still gaining weight at a good pace and lots of wet and dirty nappies 😊
My 13 week old has such varied amounts… sometimes 3oz sometimes 6oz but more often he takes 4-5oz per feed. He is growing (in 6-9 month onesies) and is happy and having wet/dirty nappies. I was starting to stress about how much he was eating but he is happy out so I’m just going with the flow
My 10 week old only has around 3oz (sometimes 4) at a feed 7 times a day. I spoke to the GP who said she’s not concerned as she’s clearly growing (entered 3-6month clothes now) and said every baby’s needs are different and guidance is just guidance, not rules
