Cautious toddler - should I be worried?

This might sound like a weird concern but I just don't think my toddler is as fearless as I would expect a typical toddler to be... She's quite cautious and reserved and when you think of toddlers you think of these chaotic fearless tiny people just barrelling around everywhere 😂 I have a friend who has a little girl just 2 weeks older than mine and she tells me how she's climbing up everything, she took her to a local play barn last week and she was climbing up the high ropes and things designed for older kids... I took my little girl to the same place today and we were the only people there but she was too scared to even go down the small slide. Is it a misconception that all kids are fearless or is this something I should be worried about? I want to make sure she's confident 🫤

I remember my mum always telling us my brother was very shy and timid when he was a baby he would just sit and be so quiet but easily drop his bottom lip at people but that never stuck with him as he grew up, he’s such a confident adult and you’d never think he was like that as a young child! All kids are so different in their own ways and she may eventually start to come out of her shell a bit more😊 x

My girl is very reserved too. She can be a wild child at home when she plays with her dad but, most of the time she is sheepish too. Won’t climb the stairs without us saying to go & being right behind her. She holds my hand in public constantly she never tries to go off on her own.. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it!

Every toddler is different! My son, 4, is absolutely WILD! My daughter is a bit reserved as well, but loves to play!

I think it’s just her personality! My little girl is always timid wherever we go for 30 mins or so sitting on my lap until she’s warmed up and then goes into pest mode 🤣. Though apparently at nursery she climbs the soft play and dives into the ball pit 🤷🏻‍♀️x

My little girl is also a bit like this , even when the lights are switched off in the morning she won’t go in front room without she says ooh scary and recently got spooked by her own shadow 🤣
