Uterine Artery Doppler

I had my 20 weeks scan today and got told I had Uterine Artery Doppler (about blood flow to the baby) mine is restricted and being treated as high risk pregnancy now :) has anybody else had this and what was their experience? was the baby early or near due date? was the baby healthy?

I am 33 weeks and I’m being seen every week because of this. It’s not really an issue unless it goes to negative or 0. The hospital will be able to tell you more about this. Unfortunately my baby has a heart condition anyways so I’m also being checked for that but you will most likely be seen more frequently because of the restricted blood flow I hope it all goes well for you xx

@Alysha hope everything goes well! thank you for sharing x

I have exactly the same. Measured in the 99th and 97th percentile. Sonographer did the whole scan said everything was totally normal then said this at the end. Naturally I panicked and started googling. I contacted my midwife who said in Oxfordshire they bought the artery Doppler measurement in about a year ago as it used to just be for “high risk” pregnancies and it’s basically done more harm than good as it’s resulted in a lot of people coming back with abnormal readings when otherwise their pregnancy would be routine. I’m currently 27 weeks and have a growth scan at 30 weeks so won’t know any more until then but until I’m told there’s something actually wrong other than this reading there’s nothing you can do or anything that worrying about it will help with. I’ve had 0 complications or issues since finding this out at 20 weeks so hopefully that brings you some comfort x
