Newborn Feed

Help!!! My newborn is nearly 3 weeks and is formula fed as I don’t produce enough milk for him! He is on circa 90ml per feed (sometimes top him up with more when he shows signs of being hungry) But he is waking / wanting feeding every 90-120mins… yesterday he had close to 200ml over the guidelines on the packet. L If anyone else went through this / is going through it, how did you do it? I’m massively concerned that I may end up over feeding and causing stomach upsets etc. I have messaged midwife and health visitor awaiting feedback.

Feeding every 90-120 minutes is normal at that age. I wouldn’t worry too much about the extra 200ml, some babies are hungrier than others. Some days they want more, some days less x

My girl was always over what the packet says, she was like 5 weeks on 150/180. I wouldn’t worry , baby might be going through growth spurt so will want more anyway or just a hungry baby. My girl is 6 months and has far more than what is recommend but she is fine and had her weighed and she’s only gone up 1 percentile! X

My girl is similar and was told to feed her if she’s hungry by the midwives:)x

i can’t remember the exact amount my boy was on at that age but he was alwayssss over the packet recommendation, my health provider said if he’s hungry give it him, if he’s weeing and pooing normally follow his lead so we did xx
