Enlarged bladder/Fetal Megacystis

Unsure if this is too niche, but have any mums been made aware of this issue in their baby? I am 26 weeks and only at a private scan was this noticed. I am due for a private scan tomorrow to investigate over 40 minutes to see if the bladder drains, but would love to know if any mums have experienced this or their babies diagnosed?

@Chloé the bladder was back to normal, but we have to go back for more monitoring in March when I hit 32 weeks with fetal medicine.

Oh that’s great news then! I couldn’t bring myself to message you with my experience so that’s amazing! I’ve been thinking about your post all weekend though but I know if someone told me anything negative at 26 weeks it would kill me. I was only 13 weeks when I found out xx

@Chloé we have the general worry as my partner was born with a reflex that meant the bladder didnt empty properly and fed back into the kidneys, but we've been reassured that the kidneys look fine and just need to be monitored now again at 32 weeks. I'm sorry for your experience, it was so hard just thinking of going through it let alone having to go through it all x
