3.3 TSH 4w5d pregnant.

I’m 4w5d pregnant and I’ve had Hypothyroidism since forever but now that I got pregnant my TSH is 3.3 when it was just 0.7 before I got pregnant. I’m waiting for a call back from the fertility clinic to adjust my dose. I’ve had 4 miscarriages and 1 live birth so I’m quite worried about it. I did have a very little pink spotting yesterday but I think it was caused by sex. During my last pregnancy I never needed to up my Levothyroxine dose….this time I had 3 eggs and idk how many implanted but it might be why the TSH shot up so much…we will see on Wednesday. How long did it take for your TSH levels to go back to a good level? What was the outcome of the pregnancy?

Hey girl! I have hyper not hypo but I have 4 kids. They were all healthy and okay! With my second I was unmedicated for it and my first. I just had to do bloodwork every month. & with my twins I had recently if my levels were off I just had my medication adjusted. No problems at all. 😊

General rule is to up your thyroxin dose by 30% when you fall pregnant. The embryo relies entirely on your thyroid during the first 15 weeks or so, therefore you almost always need a medication increase.

Thank you! I just spoke with my fertility clinic and they’re upping me from 50mcg to 75mcg and I got banned from having sex and asked me to limit my activity. Thank god my HCG is a killer and I have an ultrasound in a few days so can calm down a little. I just don’t know how to limit my activity running after a newly 3yo :D

@Boryana thats good to hear! Fingers crossed for a healthy pregnancy for you x
