Scar healing
Okay mamas, is there anyone that has a tendency to have hypertrophic scars? If so have you had your incision open for a few weeks? How did it end up healing?

@Jade💃🏻 my scar was open at a week when I took my dressing off but my dr didn't do anything until 3 weeks and over half was open 🙃 so now I'm worried that its going to be like one of my other scars and be painful all the time
Are you prone to hypertrophic aswell? Is this a csection incision or episiotomy?
If Csection, definitely get it checked again. If episiotomy, you might be ok. Mine was a little open, but the tissue there is different and I healed up okay.

Keloid prone here, which is worse than hypertrophic because the scar keeps growing. Your wound should still close and heal within normal time. If your incision is open, definitely get it checked out. You don’t want to prolong the healing. Mine healed pretty quickly, and because I’m keloid prone, I knew it was starting to keloid straightaway. Once your incision is healed, get onto the silicone scar tape asap. Moisturise in between to stop the dryness and keep it supple
