Things to do in the area
I will be in the area soon with a window gap of about 2hrs to spare, until an appointment I need to attend at Broomfield hospital. I'm pregnant and was wondering if anyone has suggestions on where I could visit to pass some time while in the area. Thanks
There's the main Chelmsford highstreet where there's all the usual highstreet shopping centres, cafes, shops and restaurants etc about a 10 minute drive away. At Broomfield Hospital itself there is a Costa and another coffee shop, a little m&s and whsmith etc so if I had a lengthy wait (whilst pregnant) for my appointment I'd set up camp in one of the coffee shops with some lunch, a decaff coffee and a book/movie/phone scroll. There's plenty of seating too. In the Broomfield area there's a few pubs (The Angel being one) where you could grab some lunch, or there's The Cheerful Chai which is a coffee shop based in a park. Both close to the hospital. Hope this helps! X
