Baby not drinking

My girl is exactly the same 😞 blocked nose and teething too. I just keep offering. She will deffo wake in the night for a feed but i’m ok with that

@Lauryn ok! She just starts crying when she sees the bottle. It’s horrible.

Yep same here, or she will drink a bit and then stop and cries any time I put it near her 😞 she has been drinking in the night though. I’m keeping an eye on it and if she drops to less than half her normal amount or it continues for more than a few days then I will call the gp and get her in

@Lauryn I’ve even offered her a different bottle cos maybe the latch would be different but she just played with it in her mouth. At least she didn’t cry … I hope she wakes for a feed tonight

Hi! Is baby eating a lot of food during the day? Rather than milk? I spoke to my health visitor last week for the reason of my little one basically refusing all milk and she reassured me massively that once some babies start weaning they just naturally go off milk and they are wanting food all the time rather than the milk. Give me a message if you want me to go into more detail xx

@Vic we do one meal a day usually but I left giving her solids today until I started panicking at 4pm and decided to do the porridge. She is definitely more interested in food - she was trying to grab my lunch off my plate today. But I always have “milk is their main food” bashing around in my head.

My little boy has also gone off his milk but I have finally figured that it’s down to teething, they will drink when they are hungry and I’ve learnt to trust him but I always said if it continued and I was concerned then I would go to the GP/seek help too.

Yep last week was having full on tantrums with feeds, I found for some reason he would have it in his pram when he was the most chilled but still only had few ounces here and there. Today’s first day we’ve had no tantrums and been back to how it should be. But was defo down to teething xx

@Alex yes we’ve had some improvement here too but wasting so much! I’m only making up 4oz bottles cos there’s no point doing more. I’ve added in an extra meal that I add milk/formula. Just to try get a minimum amount covered!
